A really wonderful week. Massive thanks to Jesse Kaminsky and WFMU for playing Jiming Temple afternoon from my latest Sounds series on Neighbors Noise this week. One of the best shows on radio ! You can listen here-wfmu.org/playlists/KK and check out older sets as well.
My latest Sounds now heard as song is here-

I am happy to share “Then. and then….”A new track with Hiroko Komiya. This longer work is an audible journey that blends different field recordings and instruments to create a sketchbook of invisible stories. This is our second published track with much more to come. Sit back and enjoy!
From Hiroko:
“Then. and then…”with Chris H Lynn. 2曲目リリース。この22分25秒の曲はフィールドレコ、インストゥルメンタルをミックス、移りゆく季節、モノの音、そこにある空気、記憶のような心象風景、見えないストーリーをスケッチブックにしてみました。”そして. またそして….”

New Super 8 film from the Journal of Drifting Hours series: A bridge beckons
I know this is really late, but was pleasantly surprised to discover River Thought was in L’Emergere Del Possibile list of top films of 2020 . Here is the link to explore if you wish. Their picks over the years were also compiled here on Letterboxd by Cinesinfin another wonderful film blog. Enjoy!
Landscape Tempos are audiovisual views (scenes, occurrences) that reflect the rhythm and tempo of isolated moments in urban and rural landscapes. The locations for these tempos include: Rhode Island, USA; Washington, USA; Maryland, USA; Alencon, France; Nanjing, China.

I am thrilled and honored to share a new track with Japanese Sound Artist Hiroko Komiya. Our collaboration has produced quite a few tracks, but we felt Rendezvous Cycles is the most fitting since the Brood X cicada phenomena is slowly winding down here on the East Coast. Look for more sounds in the future. Here is some info on the wonderful Brood X cicadas
Some info on Hiroko here
and one of her releases here
Hiroko is currently based in Italy.
Enjoy!
New super 8 film from the Journal of Drifting Hours series:

I recorded some Brood X cicadas today with my phone. I apologize the quality is not the best, I was not really prepared for such a chorus; it seems they really emerged with the summer-like heat. Certainly will be recording more in the future.
I am really thrilled Video Strolls included my film November afternoon in their program Looking at Trees for the Urban Tree Festival in London. Here is a link to their page and go here to see the amazing lineup at the Urban Tree Festival. More updates soon. The film is below, but do check out the other films, readings and events.
