Lynlee on Haze’s latest Sound Interpretation Series: Jack Kerouac
Lynlee composed a track specifically for Haze’s latest Sound Interpretation series dedicated to Jack Kerouac. The track entitled “A Taste of Rainy Dawn” has Una and me reading Kerouac’s haikus in English and Korean with additional field recordings and soundscapes. The piece was really a pleasure to make and we hope it captures a certain feeling in the haikus. To listen or download go here. Lots of great things to discover. More from Lynlee soon.
From the Haze net label:
The HAZE Netlabel presents the project Sound Interpretations. In this project we propose to rethink literary heritage of the 20th century. Over the 2012-2013 years, each month we will release the compilation dedicated to the 12 most outstanding writers of the 20th century.

Una Lee’s Grainy Thoughts CDR
When I first heard Una Lee’s disc Grainy Thoughts I was immediately captivated by its diversity and mystery. Lee manages to incorporate an eclectic use of sounds to create something innovative and quite compelling. This is no easy task. Styles range from experimental field recordings, sound art, noise, and improv piano compositions-each track is rendered with imagination and skill.
From the haunting drones of “A Quiet Rumble” to the delicate, intricate rhythms of “A Rolling Mind” or to the reflective, nostalgic beauty of “A weary conversation” the listener is free to engage and explore.
The disc is now available on Una Lee’s bandcamp page with additional tracks and her own handmade paper case. Like the music, the handmade case is beautiful and displayed with authenticity and care. This is a stunning debut! I look forward to hearing more great things from this South Korean Artist.

Lynlee- Collaborative Creative Adventure
Lynlee is a very exciting collaborative adventure that I am undertaking with sound artist Una Lee. As a duo, we plan to share our ideas, field recordings, remixes and visuals to create works we both find satisfying and new. We are in the early stages, but we already have produced a number of tracks and a short film. We will be posting our compositions on the Lynlee soundcloud page which is located below. Expect more details as the project develops, but for now-have a listen!
