Thanks to everyone who attended the DCIFF(Goethe Institut) and the MLK shows. A special thanks to Video Love, Margaret Rorison, Daniel Barbiero, Gary Rouzer, Patricia Doyen, and J. Surak for their major contributions at the Goethe Institut. What a great time! During both events the Super 8 projector ran smoothly!
I would also like to thank the DCIFF and the MLK for the invites and WPFW for the late night radio interview with Bobby Hill.
I will post more on these event in the upcoming weeks.

Remote landscapes contain fragments of strata and sediment suggesting an existence marked by time not man. A vibrant sun illuminates the contours of the land providing a natural show of light and shadow play. “We are lost between the abyss within us and the boundless horizons outside us.” – Robert Smithson

Video/Super 8 film transferred to DV|color/b&w|sound| 7:22
Images of ships recorded in the same location (Shanghai) at different time periods(2008-2013) drift in and out the frame towards their unknown destination.

London 5: Unknown Year by Chris Lynn An exploration of time, space and movement where inner archives are recorded and presented on the grain and color of super 8 film.

The Lights and the Perfections by Paul Clipson- A bug’s eye view of the world-mysterious, wonderful plant studies and urban landscapes woven into soft focus home movies.

Musical Landscapes for Dog Dayz Fest at Union Arts D.C on 8/3/13

Here are the details for the Musical Landscapes program this Saturday. This is a massive event so come on out to hear some great sounds and view some innovative films!

Musical Landscapes:
Locations include: Canada, China, England, and South Korea

Program 1-
Oserake and the River that Walks by Robert Robertson
‘Oserake’ is the First Nation name for the winter quarters which were set up by the river, the origin of the city of Montreal.
This music/film shows what happens to Montreal in winter, when the wilderness takes over.

Program 2-
1.Cage’s Dream by Simon Mclennan
A dance piece for the camera. Featuring Carolina Diaz – dance. Simon Mclennan film, editing and original music.

2.A Familiar Lullaby-by Una Lee-train journey is recorded by sound artist Una Lee

3. A trilogy of Summer by Chris H Lynn- ‘A Trilogy of Summer’ (2010,
2012) was filmed in China during the summer months.
